before and after reloading..

Before: Ugh, I am gonna run out of these 38 spl in this box soon...

After: Hurry, the sooner I finish off this box of 38 spl, the sooner I'm gonna reload them to shoot again!

Happy Saturday Gunday Weekend!

Good for you!!!

Now you know why folk that reload claim you won't save any money but you will get to shoot more.

Good luck.

Most of us begin loading our own so we can shoot more.

There are times when we find ourselves shooting so we can load more.

Chuckle!!!! -
When the notion of getting seriously into reloading first struck me, I PROMISED myself that I wouldn't start or buy any gear until I had 1000 pieces of .40 pistol brass..... - well that seems a very long time ago now and I've now bought my 4th press and quite a bit of other gear.......

As to on hand brass I recognize I have a problem..... I now have on hand about 30000 pieces of brass as I pick up ANY piece of brass from the range floor that isn't firmly nailed down - if I don't reload it I always hope to find someone who does to trade with later...... For example - 9mm - I don't own one...... I have some 4000 pieces of nice clean 9mm brass plus loading blocks etc - I use the junk 9mm to make my .40 hollow point rounds. Keep the good stuff to trade with - need any? :-) I've traded off a lot of .45 auto brass with others. Need any of that? - let me know.

"...you won't save any money..." You won't, but reloading isn't about saving money. It's about using the best possible ammo that's tailored for your firearm.

I reload because where I live. Ammo is not always on the shelf.

Yup..thought the same thing this morning. It was really hard for me to leave 20 unfired rounds, just in case I need them before I get a chance to reload. I have a new die in the mail that won't get here till Thursday.

(Only mine are 45 Colt.)

Only you can save a ton on per-shot basis. My 45 Colt cost about $0.80 each in the store, but I can reload them for about $0.24.

That put quite a smile on my face. Thanks.

In my case, I simply tell people that I shoot to support my reloading habit.

Cast your own bullets and you can knock that down to $0.09 a round. What with the bullet being the most expensive component, your real savings are realized when you cast your own.

Ha! You are serious about reloading when you refer to going to the range as "emptying brass."
