Perhaps more reliable function can be found using the Thompson drum?

drums
Numrich and Sarco has them. They are one of the better made drums. One only problem might be, is that some have been found to have not been greased at the factory. I would stay away from the Khar drums. Have your buddy go to Machinegunbooks.com and check out their website about Thompson material.
