Very nice handgun. With an account most banks will not charge for change. I guarantee that to save save $65 (or $6) I would count and wrap it myself.

I've familiar with Bulls-eye as well. You got yourself a nice ruger there, I like it a lot. Think you made a great buy.

Thank you guys!

I do love bullseye. Internet reviews seem to state otherwise but I've always received great service there. A friend I went shooting with today was having ftf issues with his recently bought kahr cw 40 while I was trying out my new ruger. He got it fixed for free while they were in the middle of closing and it now runs flawlessly.

Anyway the ruger shoots like a dream, the d/a trigger pull is so smooth and the sights are great. I am very happy with this purchase I fed her 50 rds .38 sp, 25 125 gr .357, and 25 158 gr .357. I learned there is quite a difference between 125 and 158 gr (this is my first .357 btw). This gun will mainly see .38's and 125 gr .357, mostly because I have to go out of my way to find 158 gr .357 and for $10 more than 125 gr. I can put .38's wherever I want on the paper but ill def need some practice with the .357's

Congrats on a gorgeous looking gun! A question from a semi-newbie. I want to Ruger site and the picture of this model looks different, in particular it has shiny finish and different handles. Is your Ruger some kind of custom/ limited? Here is a link to the site:

Thanks.

AID_Admin,

They are Distributor Exclusives from TALO. They make only a certain amount of them.. I can't rememeber the numbers, but something like 1,500-2,500 per edition. These are reffered to as "Wiley Clapp" Gp100 (the guy who helped design the changes for the special edition).

Last years model was a stainless model.

This years model is like last years, except it is in a black finish and the front sight is a different. Ruger does not have the newest version shown on their site yet. Ryu825 has the latest version.

I do like the front sights on the stainless Wiley more but I hear the finish is easy to scratch on the gun itself. I could just switch them out if I really wanted..

I like the matt black. I'm seriously considering Cerakoting my SP101 in satin black. Looks bada** and is more in keeping with a discreet carry weapon.

Yea that'd be pretty sweet. Even better if its the engraved one I also saw at bullseye... This gp100 may have just a 3" barrel but that's about the only small thing about it. It's a good size for carrying but not concealing unless its cold outside.

Thanks for the sympathy, Ryu ...

I believe that pile of pennies went to ... wait for it!! ... shoes.

Hard to complain, tho, since I never hear a peep when I add that "hadda have it" gun to my modest collection ...

I like those grips. My change will be going towards a single shot .270 for deer season.
