you should check out the Redfield counterstrike. I use one on my AR 9mm pistol and it is great; and not just for the price.

I also purchased a Burris Fast Fire III for my AR15; for the money ($250) it is a great sight, multiple brightness settings and mine came with a protective cover that can be on the sight while it is in use.
