WTB 700 ML 209 conversion/breech plug
I need to buy a couple of percussion cap breech plugs for the 700ML. My rifle is still in good shape, but some wear and tear on the plug. Since these are no longer made I want to get the parts I may need on down the line. I would buy a 209 conversion kit if anyone has one. (my rifle is percussion cap). Thanks Troy [email protected]

Since your post refers to a 700 ML one would assume that you are looking for a 209 breech plug for a Remington MDL 700 Muzzle loader???

Troy, The Remington MDL 700 ML breech plug is 2 components. The breech plug itself, and the nipple that screws into the breech plug. To convert to a 209 primer system, all you need is the 209 conversion nipple. Just remove the old nipple from the breech plug and screw in the new 209 nipple into the breech plug.
Here is a place to start. Item # 4 is the breech plug. http://www.brownells.com/aspx/ns/Sch...px?schemid=127 Here’s another breech plug. http://www.e-gunparts.com/DisplayAd....rSuperSKU=&MC= Scroll down the page to find the nipple you need for the 209 conversion. http://www.e-gunparts.com/DisplayAd....rSuperSKU=&MC= Hope this helps. Just an FYI. If you convert to a 209 primer system, you will need the Remington Depriming Tool also listed when you scroll down on the last site listed. The tool is needed to remove the spent 209 primer from the nipple. |

troy, as you scroll down the last site bigv gave you, you will also see listing for a nipple spring. it fits on inside of 209 nipple and helps retain primer. should have a spare and they`re only $1.50
