3,5 lb glock connector question

Hi guys! Does any of you use a 3.5 lb connector on his carry glock?
Is this connector safe enough for carry? thanks!

If that's the only change to the gun, it's probably more like a four and a half to five pound trigger, still with the long take up.
Not all that risky for anyone who is a safe gun handler.

I do on my Gen4 Glocks. The '-' connector in the Gen4's only takes about half a pound off the trigger on my gauge.

The difference is due to the different angle on the trigger housing (same reason they created the '.' connector.

Yes this exactly the - glock connector. I've installed one on my glock 17 and was wondering if this connector is a "range" feature or safe enough for use in defensive situation.

I have a G22 Gen4 and put a 3 1/2 ghost connector and a competition spring kit on mine. It's my duty gun so it better be extremely safe, and reliable. I shoot it almost everyday and it's never had a hiccup of any kind. For me it's makes it a perfect trigger but that's just me. Try it you'll love it.

I have Ghost connectors in all of mine, but would not hesitate to use the "-" connector

I have to disagree with last post. Glocks break clean anyhow mine just breaks at alittle over 2 1/2 pounds now. You hear stories about long trigger pull or gritty. I don't have that problem just a perfect trigger now. O and I forgot, I also added a ghost trigger bar (polished) I've shot it pretty much almost everyday for the last 1 1/2 years and it's the perfect gun now.

ehhh....

I have a trigger kit in my 17L, it's very light, it's like a 2 stage trigger.

It's a range gun, I take it to the line in the case and when I'm done, I put a SnapCap in it, pull the trigger and it comes off the line in its case.

I'd never trust it on my person - no way.

Like I said, I love mine and feel very safe. It's a duty gun and it's still safe but it does shoot like a competition gun on the range. If I was scared of aiming it at anyone and shooting them on accidental it wouldn't be a duty gun.

I never alter in anyway anything I carry.
Not a fat chance in hell I'm going to do that.
It is exactly what any good attorney wants.
I recommend you buy a gun that is as close to what you want without any modifications.

Home or range?
That's a whole different story.

for CCW I agree with the above post........leave your CCW guns as made by the factory........U pop a perp with a tricked out gun and you are now a "GUNNER" not a SD gun owner

I have a trigger/polish job on my Glock 21 as well. Very smooth and I love it. I personally wouldn't EDC it since I have other options. But if you're comfortable with it, that's what counts. The #1 safety is you.

From the legal standpoint of carrying an altered pistol for SD to what a stock/modified Glock trigger feels like, you can see opinions vary.

I don't carry altered SD pistols with the exception of a CT laser.

I purchased my G22 from an LE dept. The dept. armorer went through the pistol for me installing a connector. He asked me if I would be using it for the range or SD. Told him range use. Since he knew I absolutely loath a stock Glock trigger, his/my attempt was to not only lighten pull but make the trigger feel less like stepping on a grape. For a Glock trigger,he did a great job. Although unlike a finely tuned 1911 trigger, it now breaks rather cleanly at just a tad over 3#.

I'm with CountZer0 on this one. I wouldn't carry it for SD.

Have that same connector on my G21 & 27. It's alright..I carry them both. Not really an issue.

I feel like you're okay as long as you stick to all factory parts.

I had one on my G26 and on my G19.

They should still be safe for carry.

Yeah...they're alright. How things are turning around though in the world...I would second guess carrying anything that's modified. They're right, you can get in more trouble for killing someone who's trying to rob or kill you then the person you'd let rob and kill you would. Upside down much? -___-
