Got the green light for a new reloading press...

The better half brought up the subject on if I was ready for my next press yet. Ummmmm....nnnnooooo....YES!

I made up my mind and going to order the Hornady Lock 'N' Load AP. I've done some heavy researching on which one to buy. Dillon's 550, Lee's, and even an older used one of Lyman's was in the mix. The free bullets and the information I gathered here basically sold me.

My questions are these:

1. Any up to date information on tricks of the trade as far as set up, day to day ops, etc.?

2. I'm considering buying from MidwayUSA. Any other vendors I should consider?

My sentiments exactly....

I made the comment a few weeks back that I was looking into a progressive. We discussed that Christmas was around the corner and we'll have to budget for it due to the amount of money spent this time of year. Come to find out, I've been working quite a bit of OT lately and she received a fairly nice bonus from her work. So, she said that we had some extra money (believe it or not) and I should order the one I want (within reason, of course).

The better story is that she helps me out from time to time. I'm particular about case prep and she pitches in to help with the tedious stuff. Nothing like making the most out of our time....

Midway sent me an email for a coupon of $X off on an order....

Good for you! My wife only brings up reloading if she wants me to disappear for 6 hours at a time. Come to think of it, she brings up reloading a lot

LOL! My wife frequently asks why I haven't been to the range recently or don't I need to go fishing? Seems like we've both got a great deal!

Hey, whatever works! Look at it this way...more time spent at the press equal that much more ammo to plink away...

Buy from Grafs. Their service is great and their flat rate shipping is significantly cheaper than Midway. I think their shipping is $5.95 for anything.

I peeked at Midway and they want $370.
Graf's wants $365
Midsouth wants $320.

Does anybody know if I still get the free bullets regardless where I buy the press?

Where on Gods green earth did you find a woman who would ask such a question? Does she have a sister? My wife might have to move out if I found one like that!

Yes you can.

Just send the coupon from Hornady in with the receipt and USP label from the LnL box along with $12 + change. Hornady will have 1,000 bullets of your choice to you in about 2-3 weeks.

Good deal. I just called Hornady today and stated that even though I'm buying from Midsouth (it's on backorder through the first of the year) I would still be honored the free bullets.

Tanya was the reps. name. She stated that it will be under another promotion, but will still be able to get the bullets for free.

Thanks for letting me know.

Met serving together at a Tex-Mex restaurant after high school. Got her REALLY drunk on Malibu/orange juice and drug her up to the nearest alter. Paid the chaplain a hefty wad of cash and the rest is history....

Yes, and ALMOST as beautiful.....almost....but, married also. Told her now husband how I did it and I've been "THE MAN" ever since...

Thanks for the links, Hunter.

I've seen the information before stated on comrace, but not from ezine. Printed out that one so when my press comes in, I'll be using it as a guide.

Much appreciated...
