Winchester 70 Extractor Issues

So...

I have a Winchester 70 Heavy Varmint in .223. It will pull spent casings out of the chamber but will not fully extract them. I have to tilt the rifle to the right in order to completely remove the casing from the rifle. Do I need a new extractor, or is there another remedy? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Extractor is probably fine, sounds like the ejector is not doing its job. Could be stuck in the recess by brass shavings or dried gunk. Scrub it out, drive out the retaining pin (being careful not to launch the ejector), clean it and reinstall. If it need a new spring, they are available from Numrich.
