Loading > 240 gr. in a Marlin 1894

Per the 1894P Marlin manual, the max overall length is 1.61" That's no problem for 240 gr. bullets. But when you get to 280 or 300 gr. bullets, the overall length is upwards of 1.7".

If you are loading these heavy bullets in the Marlin, I would appreciate knowing how you're doing it.

Paultx, for an expert's advice, go to www.beartoothbullets.com and look on the left side of the page for Shooter's Forum.

Click on that and then look for the thread starting with, "Heavy Bullets In Marlin 1894s."

The answer by Marshall Stanton, creator and owner of Beartooth Bullets, will tell you what to do.
