Millet Allen Wrench Size???

I have a Smith 686-3 that came with Millet mounts/rings as a package in 1989...I have been told that only 1100 of these were made in 8 3/8 inch...

The issue is that the Allen Wrench is nowhere to be found...

I have gone through two sets of standard, and one set of Metric wrenches, and none of them fit...

The size looks to be the same as today's Millett rings, but I'll never live long enough to get through to Bushnell CS who now owns Millett...30 minutes was my limit...

It is somewhere between 2.5mm and 3mm...

Anyone have a wrench they cam mic before I take an Easy Out to these buggers?

Any other ideas?

If it's between 2.5 mm and 3 mm, the only size I think it could be is 7/64"

Thanks for that...

The two sets of SAE I went through (one L shaped and the other 1/4" drive) had nothing that would fit and were not marked...That was why I used the metric sizes I knew were hi/lo...

I just had a brainstorm and found a work-around...

It is not 'right', but it did work slick...

I tried my Torx set, and indeed one worked perfectly with no slip or marring...

I used the T-15 size, and it inserted snugly to the base of the hole, and turned the screws beautifully...

Thanks again!
