A lucky 9x19 load (for my new gun!)

I finally went out and got a Glock 19 yesterday.
I had been out shooting revolvers with my wife last weekend and she said "honey, how come you don't have a 9mm I can shoot?"
Well, that's all the justification I needed.

Last night I looked through my Lee book and picked a load based on the powder I had on hand. I picked a load halfway between the starting load and max load and did a run of 100.

Went to the range today, and was quite pleased with my results.
I don't think I'll change a thing.
Check it out!

Nice for a starting load, however, the 9mm is capable of much better...

With 7.5 grains of HS-7 and Speer 115 JHP
1227 fps 15' from muzzle

With 7.2 of Power pistol and Nosler 115 JHP
1384 fps 15' from muzzle

The distance to target was 20 of my steps (not paces).
So, probably about 20-25 yds.

sricciardelli, were those targets 15 feet from muzzle, or is that where you clocked them at?
If that was a 25 yd group, very impressive!
What gun did you use?

Sure, I will probably try some other loads too, but what impressed me is that for windage and elevation, the group isn't bad. Didn't have to mess with the sights at all. (which is good, since they're fixed I could only drift the windage without switching out the FS).
So, the accuracy is ok, the precision needs work.

The chrony was 15'...targets were 25 yards.

I used S&W 659, and three Star Firestar Plus.

The heavier load is reserved for the S&W.
