Does anyone here have Emergency Permit to Carry Experience

We have a busy tomorrow. Have to get to the local sheriff and apply quickly. Looking for info. If you do and would prefer to communicate in a PM that is fine with me. Will not go into to many details since it may be against board policy.

I do not have a emergency carry permit experience. I do however have a ccw permit. I dont know about your particular situation and thats ok.

However if you feel you are endangered (and you may well be) please keep in mind everything you are taught in ccw class plus (and I am saying this only with good will) please keep in mind whatever is behind and beside whereever you may have to shoot in a self defense situation.

I believe 200% in the right to keep and bear arms and self defense but in your interest I want to mention this.

A laser is a plus for many people and practice at a range (and more practice) is a significant plus.

Best of luck whatever your situation and if you are forced to defend youself for any reason I wish you the best of luck.

You may want to do some searching in this forum for some "tips and hints" that may be informative to you.

Pahoo just made me wake up and think.

Private. I really want to document this situation and share it when the time is right. Pahoo nailed me for our current situation. I will try to update when the time is right. When we first related the problem to the local police dept. we asked if they could run the plate for a certain persons location. The officer said you probably don't want that information and it could come back to haunt you. I was biting at the bit to get some guidance on the subject. Perhaps too soon. I will post what I can and when I can. But Pahoo smacked me in the head with that one word. Private. Sorry if I started a thread and bowed out.

Doyle-

An emergency permit is just that. It is good for 30 days. You still need the training and sign off of the trainer. You must be in immenent danger. The permit is void after 30 days but it is free. Your training is not void and allows you to get an actually Permit to Carry when you pay the fee. In our area it is not a Conceal Carry Permit. You can open carry on the permit. Most people choose to Conceal to avoid problems in public from paronoid people. The emergency permit is a "may issue". The permanent permit is a "shall issue".

I have no idea what this is about and it's not a tactics issue.
