Winchester 1300 what do you think?
What do you guys think of the Winchester 1300? I am thinking of buying one from a local pawn shop and it will be my first shotgun. It has a light wood finish and It looks almost new inside and out, and has a scope witch I would never use but it is a plus I guess. They are asking $209 for it what do you guys think?

I have four home defense shotguns. Two are Mossberg 500s, one is a Winchester 1200, the other a Winchester 1300. The Winnie 1200 is essentially the same as the 1300, but with a 2&3/4 chamber.
My Winchesters have been rock solid reliable. No problems whatsoever. I bought both used at a pawnshop. I gave $59 for the 1200, and $89 for the 1300.

Hmm, they really go for that little? Maybe I will have to pass on this deal.

Winchester 1300
It's a great shotgun and prices are determined by the market (demand) and the condition of the gun. New ones are around $300.

While the Winnies are not my first choice, they,IMO, are good shotguns. Well worth $200, in good condition.

Got a new one in TX for $235 a few years ago. Used it in classes and outside - no troubles.

Good shotguns...I have had a 1300 28" for hunting for 16 years...the firing pin broke once, but other than that, it had been flawless.
For HD, I would pick up an 870 over a 1300...no question about it for me. |

Thanks, I bought it today and I will pick it up on Thursday. It is really going to be an all purpose gun just to get me started on shotguns.
