7.62 Russian in Romak - Data Wanted

Should be receiving my Romak by the end of this week, about the same time the dies come in for it.

This rifle is reported to be pretty accurate. I'd like to work up my own load for accuracy. I can find plenty of load data, but no opinions on the particular loads, especially in a Romak or SVD.

To keep my gunpowder stock typical, I'd like to use what I normally use for my rifle calibers- W748 (mostly), IMR3031 (sometimes), IMR 4895(occasionally).

Any suggestions/ opinions? Please tell me what rifle you load for.

WARNING - There could be load suggestions here that are untested, over book-listed maximums, and dangerous. You should always work up from a minimal load to suit your own needs. You could die without using proper loading techniques - always consult your books first.

I worked up to 50 gr IMR4895 and Sierra 180 gr JSP in a 91/30 Moisin Nagant that I welded the bolt and drilled at tapped for scope. I was looking high and low for accuracy. The best I got was 1.4" 3 shot group at 100 yards. The problem is, S&B 180 factory will shoot 2" 3 shot groups in that gun. The jury is stil out.

Anyway, the bolt stuck and the primer was flat and I vowed never to shoot a group at that high pressure again, at 50 gr.

Down around 46 gr I got the accuracy.

I've had really good luck with 46.5grs IMR-4064 under 165gr Hornady BTSP in .308. Here's tip for the 7.62x54R SOME rifles are cut with bores from .308, some with bores .311. A Chinese carbine I have is .309 and a Finnish Model is .312. So, the same caliber, two different bullets.
