Sportsman's Warehouse reopening in Lexington, KY

I know there are a few guys from the area on TFL and thought I'd share the news. I know alot of people were upset when the store closed last summer (I know I was; I worked there) leaving Bass Pro in Cincinnati or Clarksville, IN as the next closest true sporting goods store at over an hour away. Well, a friend that I worked with at SW just told me that they are reopening the store. Apparently it is under new ownership but will have the same store manager, same basic setup, and in the same building as before. They are supposed to do initial hiring this month, so I would expect the store to open in the next few months. They may not carry everything all the time, but it's still nice to have an outdoor store locally.

While I am not a box store fan they do fill a need. We have 3 small shops one is more f a pawn shop than any thing else but any way it would be nice to be able to get stuff when you need it not when they get around to ordering it.

There were a number of stores through out the country that closed but the company had hoped to keep open. I saw last night that the Lexington store was having a grand opening. I hope and prey that te same happens to the Store in Wichita, Ks. They have never removed the signs off the building although it has had "For Sale" signs up. Glad to here your getting your store back, Hope the one I go to Opens back up too. I just wish I lived closer if it does.

Can we have our D/FW store back? Price wars on .380 ammo? I have more on my shelf than the last 3 stores I visited combined-and I can carry it all in one hand!

The one that is 50 miles away from me has thousands of them, maybe even a million. Ok well maybe only a 1/2 million.

Thanks grubbylabs. I'll swing by my local Cabela's (after my local range!) and see if they have any. Who knows? They may even have the elusive IMR4350 powder I can't seem to find around here. I can find Idaho but I've a hog hunt booked for next weekend. Reckon they'll save me a few boxes?
