The hunt didn't happen

Bummed. Wife got me a .22 Hornet for Christmas, spent the past few months working up the "perfect" load for it and waiting for a day when the weater was right, no wind rain, and I had the day off at the same time. That day was yesterday so I headed out to a prairie dog town that I've been wanting to visit since getting the gun. Get there, pasture has been leased out, cows & calves all over the town. Couple hundred rodents in no hurry to hide, sunbathing and playing little rodent games. Swear I heard laughter.
