The difference 9mm/38 VS 45 1911 slide stops?
Can anyone tell me the difference in slide stops 9mm/38 from a one that's in a normal 45 ACP 1911? Please NO guess, or I thinks.
I ask because, wilson sells both kinds. I would of thought they were the same. |

Lock the slide back with an empty magazine in place. Look at the projection on the slide-stop that comes in contact with the magazine follower. The magazine stop must contact each different magazine (.45, 38 Super, and 9MM magazines are all slightly different) slightly differently. Therefore, although some 1911 users have reported that they can swap slide stops and they will still work, a 9MM slide stop will be slightly different than a .45 ACP slide stop.
