My P90 started out as a blued safety model. It now sports a stainless decocker top end. The slide and controls were blasted for contrasting effect. It also has slicked up internals, Meprolight sights, a modified P95 trigger, and Uncle Mike grips.

I have only seen one other "custom" P90 (on TFL) but I am a big fan of that. It's simple and slick, well done. The DE has never been my style for a mountain of reasons, but I really do appreciate the work put into it, looks sharp.

Hidden Beauty
Here is a Bob Chow custom Colt government 1911 series 70 Hardball Match .45 bullesye pistol with the instructions and work done on his memo sheets.
A rare plain jane, but incredible accuracy, trigger and lockup. Bomar rib sights. Nothing fancy on the outside, but real business for match shooting! These are very rare and getting harder to find. A treasure from the past! I just made the grips to commemorate this fine pistol. Bob Chow was a well know gunsmith and master shooter from the San Francisco Bay Area, known to the elite shooters for his fine bullseye pistols.

Colt Mark IV, bought new in 1989. Fairly underwhelming in accuracy when new, so I self-customized it for pins a year or so later. It quickly became a tackdriver with my own reloads, and I was at one time firing about 500 rounds a week out of it. It is still my favorite out of all my pistols.

Olympus,, I don’t care for smooth grips on 1911’s but that gun is just gorgeous.

I have a few guns that I've had customized to different degrees. This Detonics CombatMaster is the most recent project. The trigger guard has been undercut, all of the edges broken, the mainspring housing recontured and blended to the frame, hammer bobbed, 11deg crown on muzzle, new Fusion carbon fiber trigger, action job and the entire gun bright polished excepot for the top strap. I finished it off with a set of thin Alumagrips. It's a great shooter and nice for carrying to events. The pics aren't so good, it's hard to capture the mirror finish.

This is a S&W 28 that was modified to 44 Special with a 3 inch Douglas barrel.
It was built by a friend 35 years ago who is no longer with us. Last edited by Ozzieman; October 1, 2016 at 05:19 PM. |

I'm drooling over that little Combat Master. I love those little Detonics .45's and the mirror finish with black grips looks awesome.

Custom on a Budget
Reasonably priced grips from Thailand, and a reproduction KGB pin mounted to them. I call it my "KGB Commemorative" Russian Makarov. [IMG][/IMG]

"Semi-custom" 10mm Glocks G20 & G29 ...
The following items of work were done separately over time to each pistol (I wasn't in a rush, so it was more of an evolutionary customization to each): 1) Robar applied their NP3 finish to the barrels, slides and slide internals; 2) Added fixed Trijicons; 3) BTC did grip-reduction work to my specs (i.e., removed the humps, added stippling on the back strap and a beavertail) |

Bob,
Assuming you do the work yourself? If so all are great specimens.
