SP Nagant ammo for hunting!

Is Brown/silver bear the only company that makes a sp hunting round for the 7.62X54? Thats the only sp ammo I've seen for it. I may just have to buy some dies and brass if I plan to carry this thing a time or two next year.

Winchester, PRVI Partizan and, I think, Wolf load a soft point.

Prvi and Win for sure, and S&B also. The prvi is 150 gr and helps w/ recoil.

Don't get to excited about loading for x54r. Brass is near impossible to find.

Well, affordable brass........lots of Lapu and Norma.

Thanks guys, oh yeah most definately I want to buy it. No more than I plan to carry it. I don't plan to put any optics on it, just every now and then I will carry an iron sighted rifle in the woods, a challenge I guess.

Winchester makes a nice 180gr soft point that cycles cleanly through the Mosins. They are pricey though around here. $25 for a box of 20

$25 for a box of hunting ammo is cheap! Buy a box for my .300 Win Mag once.

Just get you 3 boxes of Privi 150Gr SP. Once you shoot them, you can use them for reloading. That should set you for a bunch of reloads. Most online place are lik under $14 a box. Cabela's has them for $16.
