pre 64 model 94 problem
I recently bought a 1952 model 94 for a dark timber hunting rifle. I decided to take the rifle apart and polish up some of the parts in order to make the action smoother. I got everything cleaned up and I thought I had everything reassembled properly (took a little while), but when I was finished the hammer wouldn't go or stay in the half-cock or fully-cocked position. The action does run smoother, but that doesn't mean squat right now as the only way I can take down a deer or elk with the thing would be to beat it over the head. I'm sure I screwed something up in the assembly process, but does anybody know what?

Nevermind, I figured it out. The sear & safety catch spring was under the sear instead of on top. Woops...
