Carbon 15 article

Nice write up...but I have a question about that little blurb on the pistols.

It didn't really talk about muzzle flash....

I saw a pic on Gunblast that looked like a roman candle...in the daytime.

Is that an inevitable feature of the 7" barrel?

I have not shot it, but based on similar weapons, like the DPMS Kitty Kat, my guess is that muzzle flash is severe. See how much flash you get off a 16-inch carbine without one of those evil flash hiders? Chop another nine inches off the tube and you can well imagine the result.

I imagine the comp just makes it worse....

Without it at least the flames would mostly go forward rather than up in front of the sights.

Carbon 15 Pistol Muzzleflash

Went to a private but rather large MG shoot in Indiana last November, I brought along my new Carbon 15 pistol to try for the first time, I was a little embarrased to even take it out of the case and shoot next to a GE Minigun and a host of others. When I fired the first few rounds everybody looked over to see what the heck was making that loud report and flash, it was really funny.

I was at a range once when a fellow a few lanes down started plinking with one of these things.

The muzzle flash is quite impressive!

Come on now....

That's half the fun of the short barrels....if worse comes to worse just suppress it...
