Hi guys, I just bought a 0% finish Model 12 for a paltry $120 Canadian. Serial number is 1495xx. I know tha puts it around WWI, but what year exactly? No collector value so it's gonna get a coat of matte black paint and be the trunk gun in the car

Clead, your Winchester Model 12 was made in 1917. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info. Shame it's in such rough condition. Oh well. Rustoleum's Texture paint seems to make a great cover-up for heavy pitting. I'll post a pic when it's done. The evil low-buck WWI trunk gun!
