.35 rem load

has anyone worked up a handload for .35rem using the hornady xtp bullets in .357 180gr hollow point? if so could i hear it? it will be fired from a 336 so no worries about damaging semi auto parts.

Lee #2 has plenty of data. I don't have a .35 Rem, but I shoot that bullet from a .357 Max at nearly the same velocity. You might also try the much cheaper Rem 180. It lacks the second crimp groove, though.

yeah i looked at those too. havent had a chance to closely inspect them but they look like theyd be a bit soft for .35rem speeds? correct me if im wrong please because this is just judging from how much lead is exposed from the jacket.

JDM, the Rem 180s were designed for the .357 Max. I'm not much of a hunter so I am not too concerned about terminal performance. I wouldn't shoot a hog with those bullets, but would expect them to do fine on the little Virginia whitetails we have around here. There just ain't much penetration needed. Failure to expand is much more of a problem.
