It sort of gets worn out after a few uses. I got some Flitz Media Additive from Midway. I was skeptical at first but the stuff really works great. Add it to new or used media and Wow what a difference. Give it a try.

A lot of folks toss small squares of paper towel or even cut up pieces of dryer sheets to keep their media cleaner, and they report that this works well.

A post from over one-year ago suggested adding mineral spirits (paint thinner) to walnut media instead of a dedicated media additive such as Flitz or Frankford Arsenal. One to two tablespoons of mineral spirits per typical vibratory case cleaner volume worked for me. One hour in the cleaner produces clean shiny cases that are better looking than cases cleaned with dedicated additives. The fact that mineral spirits is a great deal cheaper than other additives is a plus.

How Often To Change Media?

That will depend on you.
I change my walnut hulls once a year.
PET"S MART sells walnut hulls in 25 pound bags for about $15.00.

I have been using walnut media for close to a year. I have cleaned close to 15,000 cases from 9mm to 223. I probably need to change it now. Thanks for the reminder.
