After an unpleasant run in with a local range manager, I have petitioned to start a 22 open class that will allow the use of ANY RIMFIRE cartridge. So far it has met with resounding success, and the manager has agreed to include it in the schedule if enough people participate. My concept is standard shillouette targets at 25-50 yards further than the current. I know they would have to be of plate and not cast steel, but its a concept I think is worth looking into. I was frustrated last week when "Any 22 Rimfire" became any 22 rimfire except Magnum! Although it was not in writing!

I have 7 others who are interested, and I would like to pick the brains of TFL for suggestions and POSITIVE criticism. I have unfortunately also run into those who have $2500 tied into their steel guns, and are seething at the possibility of a general sporting firearms class.

Rules would be simple:
1. ANY 22 cal. RIMFIRE!
2. Maximum weight of 9lbs.
3. Only 1 wind indicator allowed.
4. Standard NRA rules for course of fire except 25-50 yards further.
5. Must be a factory based rifle, no custom actions!
6. Ammunition must be commercially available.
7. Front Rest only, NO rear bags.
8. MUST HAVE FUN!

There it is boys & girls, have at it!

I thought I'd seen it all, until a 22WMR spun a bunny 2 1/4 times in the air!
