W231, 125 LRN,& small piistol mag primers

I just came across a mold for Lee 125gr LRN, I have alot of W231, and I would like to use up the mag primers I bought in he drought. Shooting CZ P07.
I have worked up from 3.3 gr 231 with 1.065 col. FTF's until I loaded 3.8 gr. but still no accuracy.
Next tried 3.8 with a 1.028 col. Cycled well and accuracy was better, bit I am worried about the pressure. I figured 10% extra for the mag primers, so I would be shooting 4.2gr with a 1.028 col.

If you don't have pressure signs, you should be OK. Magnum primers don't always cause a pressure rise. Sometimes they start the bullet out before the powder really gets burning, and thus actually lower peak pressure. Also, some magnum primers get that status by having more fuel to make the flame endure, but don't add more lead styphnate so the net brissance of the primer pellet is actually lower. It depends on the component brand combination as to what actually happens? If you have a chrongraph, you may be able to estimate the pressure by looking at the results from other known 231 loads?

I wish I had a chrono, everytimke I get some cash, there is another need.
I just tried 3.8gr w a 1.065 COL, looks like I am getting closer. I always get nervous when I start loading shorter rounds. My P07 seems to like a stout load.

I assume you are shooting a 9MM. I think you are right on edge of overloading. My book calls for MAX of 4.4 of W231 and COLA of 1.125 using 125G cast. I had made some at 1060 and decided not to shoot them. The one I finally decided on was W231 @ 4.0 and a COLA of 1.120 but that is with standard SP primers. My biggest problem was the bullet keyholeing not accuracy but found was crimping to heavy and when I took them apart the bullet was down to .348 average should have been .355 have now switched to .356 bullets
