MAS .22LR Trainer Rifles

I saw one of these hefty French bolt guns at the Harrisburg Gun Show this month. It was NIB for $650. I recently saw another used at a local gun shop for $350. I handled that one and I was impressed with the solid quality feel of this gun, the upgraded sights, and the Mauser-like bolt action. They are magazine fed. Are they worth that kind of money?

It looked like it would be very hard to mount a scope to one of these.
