Power Pro 200MR powder + M1A?

Has anyone tried this powder with thier M1A? I'm looking to shoot 175SMKs and really like this powder, but dont want to hurt my rifle! Thanks-

Try the reload section. You can alway look in your reload manual and which ever powder has the lowest weight for lowest fps step it down another 1.5gr just to be safe. Or try to see if you can find any recommended loads from the manufactor.

I use it with heavy bullets (75 and 80 gr) for my AR-15 service rifle load, but not in an M1A (which I don't have, although I do have an M1 which I feed IMR4064).

The burn rate is a tad slower than Reloader15 which is used in M118LR, and depending on the burn rate chart it is either faster or slower than IMR4320, so you are at the "ragged edge" of an appropriate burn rate for an M1A. Although lots and lots of M118LR has been shot through M14s and M1As I wouldn't do a load workup without an adjustable gas plug.

I would suggest a faster ball powder, AR-Comp, Win748, or CFE223.
