It sure is purdy but I don't think it was "Regarded by collectors and historians as one of the most powerful" ruggedly performing yes but MOST POWERFUL?

I think I'll pass for that price right now, my fun funds are on hold right now anyway.

Their artistic license (known as "puffing" in advertising) gives them an out on their Buffalo Bill commemorative revolver because they said it was ONE of the most powerful. Not THE most powerful. And what is the definition of "powerful"? Just a little "puffing" on Cabela's part. But I don't think anyone would deny that the Remy .44 BP revolver isn't powerful. But we all know that the Colt Walker was the most powerful revolver in the world for 88 years from 1847 until 1935 when the .357 magnum came out.

My grandfather actually met and shook hands with Buffalo Bill. He told me about it several times. Granddad lived to be 98. Granddad was born in 1898 and as a teenager in Tampa, Florida met Buffalo Bill when his wild west show was in Tampa a few years before Buffalo Bill died in 1917.

Actually, the Remington 1858 is one of the most powerful. It's ballistics are equivalent to a .45ACP and although the Walker is significantly more powerful, it is hard to reload and carry because of the weight.

With the Remington, you have 6 full powered rounds in the rather light and portable gun, and you can easily change the cylinder for more ammunition. An experienced gunfighter can change cylinders in a few seconds and have a fresh 6 rounds. So the Remington is power plus manueverability, while the Walker is merely power.
