I have a Jennings J-22 that I begged and pleaded Pops to get me in 8th grade because it looked like a PPK, sorta kinda. H finally relented after I made all As one semester.

Thing's a piec of junk, never gotten one mag through it without a failure of some kind.

After that, I guess my Norinco Model '97 clone, I'm just not all that attached to the gun, and it serves no real purpose either.

That's a tough one. It would probably be a toss up between my Taurus TCP or my MN 91/30.

It would probably be the TCP because I already have another pocket .380 to replace it.

At one point, I had more than I shot or carried. So I thinned the herd a bit. These days, if I don't carry it or shoot it somewhat regularly, it is gone. That got the overall population down to a manageable level.

Then I started a practice. Once every six months or so, I make a list of my handguns, starting with "if I could only keep one" and then listing them from most desirable (which usually means the one i carry most) to the one(s) that are harder to justify keeping.

I keep and review those lists to see how my perceptions change over time.

And when I get to wanting something new (or used) I look at the bottom of my latest list, and determine if I want the "new" one badly enough to sell the one (or two, or whatever) at the bottom of the list.

It has proven to be a very workable system (for me).

would've if it seems you can't say no

so what happens if the stormtroopers give you a ring and say they can't 'go away' until a firearm is donated for their cause?

I actually just got rid/sold my 300Blackout AR. it was basically just sitting in my closet not being used, so I sold it. It was not really on the bottom of the list per se, it was just the rifle that made most sense to sell. Ammo is still relatively expensive compared to 223Rem and is mostly available online only.

not to worry to because it was replaced by another Mosin.

Wife... what wife?

I just got ride of about 50. How many more do you want?

I had a simple standard..."When was the last time you shot it?" If I couldn't remember, it was gone.

Of the ones I kept, if I HAD to get rid of ONE, it would be my Model 29-2, with the 4" barrel. I've got a 24-3 in 44 Special that I shoot a LOT more than I do the Magnum.

But it would not be cheap.

I'm thinning the collection right now.

Next possible culls?
Ruger Red Label- only use it for sporting clays, and don't get out enough to make it worthwhile anymore.
Sig Trailside- Great little pistol, just want to get something a bit more durable. (I guess, techinically this is a trade, not a reduction.)
