I have the chance to purchase a Series 70 1911 that has been customized for bullesye competition by a gunsmith named Nygord. The gun is in excellent condition, has a long slide, flat mainspring housing, checkered frontstrap, extended rib rear sight, trigger job, and some other custom work. We haven't talked price yet, but my friend implied that he'd make me a really good deal because he hasn't shot competition for years. Anyway, the name of this gunsmith sounds really familiar, but I can't place it. Can anyone help me out with a bio or comments on Nygord's work?
Thanks, Chris |

You can ask Don Nygord himself at [email protected]. He's a top notch competitive shooter who knows his stuff. His website is http://nygord-precision.com.
