Versacarry IWB first impressions.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with a box of assorted holsters from my trial and error method, but I'm always on the lookout for something new. I don't remembrr where I saw the ad for the versacarry, but I have internet access and a credit card, so I figured it was worth a try.
The versacarry "holster" is a minimalist plastic belt clip with a caliber specific peg that fits into the barrel. The gun clips into place, then inserted inside the waistband and clipped over the belt.
On the plus side, it is lightweight, adds minimal bulk and is easy to take off and put on. It also seems sufficiently sturdy and holds the gun securely, almost too securely, but the instructions indicated that this would ease once the holster was broken in. Drawbacks are that it only covers the trigger on one side and that you cannot reholster the weapon without first removing the versacarry from your belt. I haven't worn it enough to determine long term comfort yet, but it seems especially good for those days when I spend a lot of time in the car, going to and from places where carry is not allowed.
