How much should I pay? M&P15 Tactical?

The rifle sells for $1159 MSRP. I see a lot of people paying way below MSRP and it seems like local places all charge MSRP. If I want to have a dealer order the M&P15T, actually the FT, as it is NY compliant, how much do they pay and how much should I try to work them down? I see people getting $750 M&P15 Sport's for just over 600, out the door. How much would the dealer actually pay anyway? How much would the markup be if the gun is $1159 MSRP? As I said, what would be fair for me to pay?

Another thing, on a side note, is that I'd like to possibly buy a Benelli Supernova and it is $549 MSRP. What would be a fair price for me to pay for this as well, without me or the dealer feeling robbed? My local dealer on GOG has a Marlin XL7 .30-06 listed for 290, I payed 430 out the door... I havent gotten any actual prices from this guy, but it'd be great if you guys could make some suggestions. Thanks a lot you guys, any help is appreciated.

Hmmmmm..... no one really answered the question. I too am looking to buy but think the MSRP is way too high. Can anyone give a reasonable figure?

I don't see them going for much less than $1000. Guy on the S&W board just got one for $914 but he got $100 off for opening a credit card with them.

For the Sport $659

And the Tactical $1025

Are we talking including tax? I just assume you guys were, but not sure. Because if I could get the tactical for $1025, I'd leave the story damn happy.

No. It's always plus tax and fees as these vary from state to state so it'd be moot for me to tell you what I paid with tax.
