And its a moot point with the Federal carry law signed by the pres last year. The local jurisdictions can say what ever they like but the fed law over rides their objections to carry off duty and after retirment.

It's a concern I've taken seriously before...
Pulling your weapon not only have the immense and life shattering consequences we always talk about... But the very likely possibility of being blown away by a cop, or even a fellow CCW'er. Sadly - there is little to say on the issue. Be sure that it is absolutely worth being killed, to draw. Ugly stuff.

Situations like this is why and several others at my department have said that we will not get involved in any situation that is not immediately threatening me, my family or anyone else that I can safely aid at that very moment. I do not plan on being a statistic. I'm not paid to break to fights in my off time, simple as that.
