IDPA style match in Eastern NC
FYI - for those who may be interested. Saturday, Nov. 23rd, Pitt County Wildlife Club is having an IDPA style action pistol match. Set up is at 8, safety brief and walkthrough is at 0930, shootin' starts at 10.
The match fee is $15.00 OR a toy of equal value which will be donated to the "Toys For Tots" program. We are also going to have a 3 - Gun Match on Saturday, Nov. 30. The particulars on that are on our web page.!! You can visit our web page at: http://www.pittcountywildlifeclub.20fr.com/ to get directions and see what we are about as a club. Good luck and hope to see ya there |

I've heard of "a 3 - Gun Match" but I don't know what is involved.
I think it's a pistol, rifle, and a shotgun but other than that I don't know.

You're right. It's similiar to an IDPA pistol match with added stages for tactical shotgun and usually a "carbine type" rifle. I think there may be some stages where you "transition" from one to the other between pistol and rifle or shotgun but not all three in one stage. I've never been to a 3-gun before but I'm eager to give it a try! I understand we'll shoot steel poppers and plates with the shotguns and everything else, (rifle & pistol), will be on paper. Shotguns will use size 6 shot or smaller.
