I'm looking to have an M1A and a Rem. 700 both built up into sniper configurations..short of the mcmillan stock I don't know on the 700...and I don't have a clue what they used to do to the old M14s. Does anyone know or know of a web site that has specs on the M40A1 or M14 sniper rifles..thanks

mongrel66,
I have a document put out by the USMC. It's document number is TI-02648A-25/10B Titled: USMC Technical Instruction,Match condition procedures, Rifle 7.62 mm, M14 HQ USMC Washington, DC 20880 27 November 1972 It gives EXACTLY how to modify the M14 for "Match Conditions". While I readily admit this isn't the 'Sniper Information' you requested, its as good a place as any to start. Jim |

Mongrel, I don't have the address but there is a web site called Sniper Country that will probably have the information you're looking for. You can probably find it with your search engine. George

M'66,
Check with "Mo's" Competition Supplies in Connecticut. Mo does custom bolt-gun work, to include M-14 Magazine adapters. |

Sniper Country's home page is here:
http://snipercountry.com There's a wealth of info on that page relative to military configurations, and such. Have also bought some pieces from their Emporium. Never been let down, great bunch of guys. Of course they are, they're gunners. Best Regards, Don ------------------ The enemy of my enemy, is my friend. |
