ICORE v. Nagant
Anyone ever shoot, or think about shooting a Nagant Revolver in an ICORE match???
The club I shoot at allows a second gun for $3,............I got to try it.

Well, you're brave. I don't think it'll make the required PF of 120,000. You might get close with .32 H&R Mag ammo, but can the gun handle the pressure?
At any rate, I'm all for pushing the envelope while having fun, and if stages were limited to 7 rounds (and PF weren't an issue), I'd consider it. I don't see myself wanting or needing to improve my Nagant reloading skills, though, especially while the timer's running. |

WW1 Revolver technology doesn't do it
The guys whom were shooting IPSC type shooting in the 70s re-rediscoved this. High round counts under the time clock equal ruff handling resulting in front & rear sights falling off, leaf type return springs breaking, cylinder and stock screws getting lost in the grass, and what doesn't disappear ends up cracking.
Some 30 years ago Police Pistol Combat, PPC, retired all kinds of WW1 double action revolvers. |
