A Lower Half for a .22 Conversion
Hi. I'm kinda new in this arena....and maybe you can help me out.
I live in NYC and the laws are pretty strict. Tried to get a 1911 with a .22 conversion kit...but the NYC police said no...only one barrel per pistol, NO conversions. And yes, I do have a pistol license in NYC. Someone pointed out that I own the kit (why didn't I think of that), so why don't I just buy a lower portion of a 1911. Which "manufacturers" will sell me a .45 lower (Commander?), receive my .22 conversion kit, assemble the new pistol, and ship it to an FFL here in NY? I do know that Rock River sells lowers ($775). http://www.rockriverarms.com/item-d...&image=pbew.gif Thanks for the help! |
