I for one will be very interested in what your assessment will be. Actually, make that, "I can't wait!"

I was contemplating this same situation around SHOT show time and when things were really crazy at the gun stores. Magazines were all bought up and the pending bans/legislation were ramping up... 6-8 weeks seemed like an eternity to deliver an ACCU-Shadow, so I did the most sensible thing ever (read: panicked). I bought TWO sp-01 shadows and ended up with 2 guns and six standard capacity magazines for $100 more than the cost of one ACCU. I've only fired one of them, but I don't think I have the time or ammo to be better than the gun already is. Eventually, I may send one to get the full on treatment.

...man I wish my range would let me go dual blazing!!

seeker073180, I was thinking along those same lines myself, so you'll get no argument from me.

Is there a need for the rail? I'm not too familiar with competition shooting but I never see anything attached to rails during the matches that Ive seen.

Shadow Target Upgrade

I will post pictures of my pistol after upgrades are completed, including when it is broken down that you may see the differences made, plus an honest evaluation after 250 rounds have been fired at the range.

My Dillon 650 however is gatherin dust as my reloading supplies are on backorder @ Brownell's. : (

250 rounds will all but deplete my target practice ammo but i have ordered more than enough from Brownell's to make sure this shortage never catches me short again. I have a detective friend in Springfield, Il who has told me 8-10 weeks ago that the Fed's threatened to shut down one ammo manufacturing plant if they continued to work overtime.

It's like having cigarettes and no matches!

I was excited about it... until I heard about the price. I´m no really sure I want to spend $1500+ for a gun...what, like half an inch more accurate than my CZ75b? Well, At least not until I win the lottery... Sorry.

I'd be happy with finding a stock, plain jane SP-01 Shadow right now with a manual safety. Heck, I might even settle for the decocker version.

Shadow Target Is Back

9mm 2.jpg

9mm Shadow w bushing 1.jpg

Upgrade completed by CZ Mesa, Az. and arrived today. Bushing wrench is included and needed to remove barrel for cleaning. I'm not smart enough to upload pictures without having to open included attachments. I feel fortunate that i was able just to include the attatchments. If someone wants to educate me how to upload a picture without having to open it to see it i am interested and thankful for the help.

I should have qualified my statement by saying not for almost twice the price they were previous to the recent panic, but certainly not $1K for a stock one.

I got your back, Venom! That's an awesome gun. I want one!

And rb-illinois: I want a DW Havok in 9mm BAD. It's basically the gun I've always wanted from CZ (though I'd take it in regular iron sights and not the C-More). If you get one, I will be your best friend forever, but really, I don't have the $$$ for something like that.

That's why I got an XD V-10 in 9mm, to semi-experience what a race gun like that might be like.

I hadn't been looking at them very long. How much were they pre-panic. $680 or $760 seems to be stuck in my head. It seemed at least reasonable and it's still a veritable bargain compared to a Sig X5. Someone bought it!

range report rb?

rb-illinois, If you would keep us abreast of you shooting experience with the upgraded Shadow, I would really appreciate it. It is exactly what I want for myself, so the more I find out from you, the better I'll feel making this investment.

Curley Q.

The snow we got towards the end of last week put a damper on me shooting it since getting it back. Looks like much more coming tomorrow as well. I plan to shoot it this weekend and will gladly let you know. The workmanship on my pistol that was done in Mesa, Az. appears to be first rate. I dry fired it for about 30 mins. last night as i am very anxious to see how and if the bushing adds more stability when firing.

CurleyQ.

I am just as anxious to fire it because of the trigger upgrade over the good trigger that came with the Target upgrade.

Not to be a party pooper, but your location is NY, and isn't the Shadow now illegal in the Empire state?

I ordered one from cz-custom a couple weeks ago. Six week lead time gets it to my FFL at the end of march. Just can't wait to put some rounds down range.
