1) With the muzzle pointed in a safe direction and finger off the trigger, and magazine well empty, retract the bolt to ensure that the firearm is unloaded.

2) At the lower end of the receiver, you'll find two push pins. Remove both and place them in the storage holes in the stock.

3) Holding the rifle close to the table, pull the stock straight to the rear. The recoil spring is attached to the stock and will be withdrawn from the stock.

4) If the trigger group did not already fall out, pull it back and slightly down. It should come out easily.

5) Pull the operating handle back and withdraw the bolt carrier and bolt from the receiver (the collasping operating handle snaps back into place and remains on the firearm).

6) Setting the bolt & bolt carrier assembly upright and with the bolt carrier to the right and the bolt (bottom) to the left, rotate the bolt head counterclockwise 90 degrees. It should disengage and pop up. Remove the bolt head, firing pin and firing pin spring and locking piece. No further disassembly is recommended.

Note: To reassemble the bolt to the bolt carrier, drop the firing pin and firing pin spring into the bolt carrier first. Place the locking piece over the firing pin and firing pin spring and depressing, rotate to lock into place. Then place the bolt over the locking piece and press firmly downwards. The bolt should snap right on and the rollers should be in the locked position. Rotate the bolt such that the rollers are horizontal to the bottom of the bolt carrier. Now, grabbing the bolt head, pull slightly until the locking rollers are withdrawn.

The rest of the reassembly is in reverse order.
