Hi All,

I have seen somewhere bolt on rails but bedarned if I can find out where. I need one for a cz 75 pre b. Hoping some can help.

i know midway sells one for 1911`s,you might try there.

The one I have are for the 1911 and unless you are comfortable with machine work it's a bit of work. Otherwise, you're going to need a 'smith. When all is said and done, it is probably easier to get a new pistol with a rail.

onward,are they that much of a hassle to install,i really was looking to eventually get one for my 1911.

this sounds like the perfect excuse to go out and buy a new CZ

i have a CAA attachable rail on a 1911, but after shooting a mag worth, the rail would fall down. (the CAA attached to the trigger guard) eventually i wound out drilling and tapping holes under side the dust guard on my frame, and i also glued the piece directly to the frame everywhere it touched. allot of work, but it holds fast now and have no problems with it since. - looks a little back-hills but i dont care i have plenty other 1911s that look pretty

so be wear this things can turn out to be more work then they are worth

No, they're not that hard to install. You'll need a drill press, preferably one with laser guides and vise. The tricky part is perfectly centering and drilling the holes that mount the rail, otherwise it'll look like something out of someones garage/shed. It is attached with screws and epoxy (optional). It is VERY easy to bubba it up if you don't have the right equipment 'cause you only get one shot! Not a big deal with a RIA, but if you're talking about a $2,000 gun...

I didn't have the nerve to do it myself so I had a 'smith do it. If I had to do it again, I would have just bought another pistol!
