The one I have are for the 1911 and unless you are comfortable with machine work it's a bit of work. Otherwise, you're going to need a 'smith. When all is said and done, it is probably easier to get a new pistol with a rail.

this sounds like the perfect excuse to go out and buy a new CZ
i have a CAA attachable rail on a 1911, but after shooting a mag worth, the rail would fall down. (the CAA attached to the trigger guard) eventually i wound out drilling and tapping holes under side the dust guard on my frame, and i also glued the piece directly to the frame everywhere it touched. allot of work, but it holds fast now and have no problems with it since. - looks a little back-hills but i dont care i have plenty other 1911s that look pretty so be wear this things can turn out to be more work then they are worth

I didn't have the nerve to do it myself so I had a 'smith do it. If I had to do it again, I would have just bought another pistol!
