Wilson +1 in Norinco 982?

If I get this +1 Magazine extension can I use the included spring in my 5 round (as opposed to the normal 4 round) on my Norinco 982? Or would I need to get another spring?

Yes, you can use the included spring. I put the same extension on mine and used the new spring, no problems.

If you plan on keeping it fully loaded for long periods use the longer spring. Change it and the rounds every year or so. Shotgun mag springs have a more difficult job than almost any other magazine spring. They are compressed much more and will weaken over time. I use Wollf extra power springs (which is what Wilson sells I think). Buy extras. I just buy 8 round springs and cut them to fit whatever size magazine it's going in. If the last round doesn't snap onto the carrier just as hard as the first one did then it doesn't really matter how many rounds the gun will hold. Some shotshells will swell under long compression and may not chamber when you need it. Inspect them every 4 months. And practice with that thing. Spare firing pin springs and extractor springs are also a good thing to have on hand.

I got it and it fit on just fine (though I did have to file down the detents in the magazine to fit the new follower in). My only complaint would be that it's pretty damn heavy and the sling mount sticks way out.

FYI, Wilson Combat offers a 10% Military/Law Enforcement discount if you ask them. That discount is on everything, including pistols.
