Source for Berdan Primers

Anyone have a source for berdan primers LR (.217)??? They are available from PMC but they require a minimum order of 5000 and I don't need that many.

I have Been asking about a good outlet for Berdan Primers for a few months. CCI makes Berdan Primers for their Blazer ammo, at least that what I was told. The Old Western Scrounger said they were not going to carry them any more. I never got a reply from PMC. They may feel it is nothing to react to. So,I contacted the Technical Support at Midway USA. I asked them to consider carrying Berdan Primers for those of us who know how, or want to learn how to reload with them. I told Midway I would buy them if I could get Berdan Primers to reload that fantastic Swiss 7.5x55 brass, and for the steel cased 7.62x54R. My SVT-40 can only fire steel cased ammunition. Brass case ammunition malfunctions in the SVT-40. So if enough reloaders contact Midway to carry Berdan Primers, they might do it. I am still waiting for a reply to this question. Thanks.

Loading with berdan primers is more trouble and expensive than it's worth. What are you trying to load?
CCI is not listing berdan primers on their site.

I reload the GP11 for the K31 rifle, I get my Berdans from http://www.brassmanbrass.com/ They are not on his website, you have to call to order.
My method of depriming is to take a 5/16" bolt about 4" long and cut off the threaded part. Its a hair too thick to fit in a fired case, so put it in a drill motor and sand it down until it just fits.
A 1/2" socket 3/8"drive is just right to hold the case. So, just dip the case in a pan of water, set it in the socket, put in the bolt and give it a whack with a small hammer. The primer pops out into the socket drive area.
This takes longer to describe than to do, and only a few drops of water come out. Dump the rest of the water out of the case and set out to dry. I can deprime these almost as fast as I can the Boxers, but you still have to resize and let them dry.
