SR 7625 Redding BR PM
Got a fairly new PM and have ran a few powders through it getting it nice and broke in. Ran a full tube of Universal the whole time it felt like I was throwing beach sand instead of powder. Took the PM apart and wiped it out really well and used a #2 pencil to give it some dry lube. Worked "OK" still a little gritty but throw spot on repeatable measures. Did the graph paper powder layout for Universal, TiteGroup, and LilGun. All graphs were from what I could tell dead on. Was going to build my graph for SR7625 this AM. With hand measured loads SR7625 cuts one holers with 10 rds for chronographing(kinda the reason I would really like the PM to work with this powder). Well anyway I put the powder in the tube and it was like putting orange juice in the crankcase of small block Chevy. Half a tube of it and the PM was almost locked up. Anyone ever have SR 7625 lock a PM up? Or is something up with the PM? I will admit I would have thought the Redding BR PM would feel more smooth. I took it all back apart and it had smears of powder where powder mic is attached with the charging handle. Works pretty smooth without powder right now. I think I will try some IMR 4227 or IMR 4756, which ever is smaller and see if it gums up the PM as well. When I bought the Redding I packed the RCBS up in it's orignal box with the instructions waiting till the wife has her Garage Sale. I really think I will use Lee dippers as well as homemade dippers before I break the Uniflow back out. The Reddings are really that sweet when it's working. Any ideas out there? Thanks

Sounds like there is something wrong with the powder measure. I use SR 7625 and it drops smoothly from my measures.
