So "now shipping" but only sometime in the future? So then is the price actually more like $499.95 instead of what is stated?

As an previous owner of no less than 8 USFA Single Action revolvers it has been a very sad decline for what was once literally one of the highest quality US gun makers PERIOD..let alone in the Single Action revolver world.
A USFA Pre-War for example was made from all machined bar stock and forged steel(including the SCREWS for crying out loud) which were literally perfectly fit and finished together. Then off it went to Turnbull Restoration for a period correct carbona blue finish and color case hardening. The result was a revolver that literally blew 99% of the firearms made today out of the water in terms of craftsmanship and quality. Only the finest custom shops offered something as nice. And now...they make nerf guns. |

This is great, thankyou.
I've been designing a .22LR handgun that could be printed on a 3D printer. the resulting gun would look something like this with an actual handle. Imagine if you could print one of these guns using abs plastic around $25 a piece. They would be completely unregulated and you could always have the option to build one with a longer barrel like a sub machine gun. 3D printable .22lr handgun |

It's a basically good idea with a completely disastrous marketing campaign.
The basic idea is that it's a super cheap hi-cap plinker along the lines of a TEC-22. MSRP $200. All the other tactical operator and SBR nonsense is ...unfortunate. Here it is with a mag and an optic. Does it make a little more sense now? The cocking/restrike prongs are deeply troubling, though. I don't know how that got by their lawyers. With modular top plates and maybe side plates, it's a little strange there isn't a side or top cocking model. |

The "re-strike" thing is a little odd....are they admitting that is won't fire every time right out of the gate?

Never had that problem with any ammo in any my .22s unless I was using federal bulk pack. Still getting one when they finally do release them just for the heck of it.

One of the pimary reasons for no using rimfire ammo for self defense is the reliability issue of the ignition system. It is a fairly common issue, certainly not uncommon.

Guess I have magic ammunition. Can't remember the last time I had a bad rimfire round of any caliber. Shot thousands of rounds of .22 LR, .17hmr and .22mag last year...not one misfire. If the ammunition is so unreliable...I guess the zip IS a true innovative weapon worthy or respect and having a leg up.....I don't know any of the common "high quality" rimfire guns that have a "re-cocking" function to double strike a bad round.

How come you can't remember having any now, but you noted having problems with Federal Bulk Pack above?

I got to try one several months ago before they started selling them. A really, really dumb idea for a handgun. Its pretty much all plastic and the only purpose I could think of using it for was to waste 22 ammo.

Now if they could just add a adjustable stock and a longer barrel.

I had to watch 3 different videos to figure out how to hold the dang thing. Why not just put a regular grip on it?

Will future weapons designs poke everybody's esthetic sense right in the eyeball, or just old timers married to wood stocks and carbon black bluing?
What if the damnable thing was chambered in 10 mm AP and was standard issue mounted under an M4 like a M203 under a sixteen for a little added thump? Want one now? This reminds me of the outrage over Mossbergs 464 SPX. You know, the kids love stuff like that. It's the future baby! |

One thing I'm not seeing anybody address is how to zero the thing IF mounted on a long gun.
How the Zipper could be regulated to match the rifle's sights is a bit of a mystery. Looking forward to seeing one in person next week, but more out of morbid curiosity than anything else. Denis |

I imagine you use a laser. Regulating with the sights doesn't really work.
There is an open source UAV group in Dayton(I hear). They may enjoy this, even if they can't actually mount it. |

I suppose. More money, more complexity, still not much practical return.

Cheap rail mounted lasers are the only cheap optic I trust.
Even this seems to work pretty well. |
