Just one of those buys.
Latched onto a S&W Model 19-5 with a six inch barrel but I don't get it until my birthday at the end of this month. The gun is in great shape except for some holster wear at the muzzle end and on the cylinder. The action in both single and double action is great. The gun came with a Hunter holster and two boxes of 50 UMC 130 FMJ 38spl. Got the whole works for $275.00. Heck if you can find it the ammo is worth $60.00 right now in my area, thats like getting the gun for $215.00. I got to list this one as one of my best gun buys ever.

Excellent score, get yourself some grips that really fit your hands (if the stock ones don't) and have fun with it.

Nice! It sounds like you got a great deal.
I am sure that you will enjoy it. I really like mine. I have a 6" 19-4 that my wife keeps trying to say is hers. I've had the 19 a lot longer than I have been with her. I'm keeping them both. |

I was able to score a Model 19-3 4" that I paid $395 for- $375 for the gun and shipping plus $20 for a transfer at my LGS. My wife now keeps that gun by the bed.

And what type of weapon did you have pointed at the seller when you stole that beauty? RPG? Flamethrower? SAW?

I just got around to getting some pictures to post. The worst areas are on the front sides of barrel. The forcing cone is in excellent shape. The bad rap that the Model 19's and 66's got was when some of the ammo companies started loading light weight bullets at high velocity and would crack the forcing cone where the barrel is relieved on the lower portion.

You don't see to many of the 6" M19s. Great snag.
