Thinking of selling my USP .45 Compact

I bought it around 7 years ago. Only put 42 rounds through it. I recently bought a Glock 27 and a PPQ so to help reduce the blow to my funds, I wanted to sell this gun.

I have a guy very interested in it but I don't really know what to ask. I see the MSRP being over $1000 on HK's site. It is practically brand new and includes the case, manuals, lock, 2 magazines, etc.

Any ideas?

I saw one in .40 at the LGS Saturday for $725. That particulate shop is usually a little high, occasionally decent pricing, never bargain priced.

Yeah the .40 is only a little less.

MSRP on the one I have is 1,040. I don't plan on selling it for 700, that's for sure. Just looking to get some ideas of what I should do though.

Personally, I'd keep it. If i had an extra $, I'd have looked at that .40 closer, but I don't think I'd pay more than $725 with tax I have the 9mm and it is a great gun and wouldn't hesitate to get one in .40 or .45.

I think pricing somewhat depends on the area of the country you live in. What area are you in?

I've looked @ the local stores a lot and know which ones I would probably take different types of guns to if I needed to sell. Some seem to specialize in different types.

I don't know, part of me wants to, but I have the .40 and 9mm. I don't feel like the HK appeals to anything I want right now.

That's why I am selling it. Now maybe an LEM P30, but literally bought the Glock and Walther within a week and a half of each other.

I did a quick google search and found a lot of them listed for around $800-$850.

If it were me (I'm a big h&k fan) I would be willing to pay somewhere in that ballpark.

I bought mine brand new in 2012 for $850. I wouldn't be willing to pay more than say $750 myself.

I paid...are you ready... $585 for my USP-C .45. Of course that was in 1998 when they first came out. I also say keep the HK and get the Glock. With my 45 HK I also have a Glock 21C [compensated] and both are great pistols.

You only paid $850 for yours? That's a great deal. I never see them for that cheap by me. Usually brand new at the LGS there over $950.

I'd keep it. My educated guess is that I could probably pick one up for $800ish. I used to own one and sold it. Bad move.

Before the insanity Top Gun Supply had full sized and compact H&K USP 45's in the $800-850 Range.

Figure the "Gun" with 2 mags and a case is worth Somewhere in the $700-750 range and MAYBE another $20.00 per extra magazine. It just really depends on where you live as to what you can get I can only speak to my personal expeirence. You might check out Armslist and see what they have been going for in your area.

I've kept mine, though I've also entertained the idea of selling it. Mine has the stainless slide and cost me $759 about ten years ago. It's also like new, as I quickly found that 1911 shorties offered me far more than the HK. Though it was bought for carry, it was barely used for only about 6 months. Bet is has no more than 150 rounds through. If I knew then what I now know, I would have saved the money.

I've previously had one in 9mm and 45 CAP as well. Sell it if you don't use it. It's still a current production gun... If you end up missing it, you could always get another....
