IMR-3031, possibly one of the broadest application powders you will find, will work in the cartridges you named, although possibly not with the heavier bullets in the 30-06.

Good luck with the 62 gr in the 22-250. That is right at the limit of bullets most factory-barreled 22-250 wil stabilize.

Take a look at IMR 4895. IMR 4895 will work better in 30 cal but OK for .223 & 22-250.

Tom234 said it best. The 4895s and also AA2495 are excellent crossover powders for several calibers.

I did a lot of cross referencing for this myself and stocked uo on 4895 and 2495. I glad I bought just a few weeks ago also. The 8lb keg of 2495 went from $104 to $119 overnight.

The 4895 powders can also be used to make reduced loads like the "Managed Recoil" loads from Remington. Hogden stated that any round that is loaded with 4895 can be reduced up to 50% and still be safe. The 4895s are in the same burn rate as Varget and 4064. A lot of people use those two for 223 loads. That why you can't find any for sale right now.

4895 won't be the best (highest velocity) in some rounds but will work and keep you shooting and let you buy in bulk for the best price.

And before anyone thinks I am hoarding powder I have about 16lbs of 4895. That will do me for the forseeable future. I have others also. I just have the most of this.

Varget and H4895/IMR4895 come to mind.

Taz, check out the twist rate of your .22-250. If you have a relatively fast twist (1-9 or better) then the heavy .223/.224 bullets will do fine.

If you have a factory rifled barrel, the lighter ones will still do the job. If you haven't used these, take a look at the 52 grain MatchKing for that rifle.

Also, the best all around powders for those calibers that come to mind have already been discussed: IMR 3031 and 4895, as well as Hodgdon Varget.
