In a world of pointless solutions looking for a problem, this one may not rank #1 - but, it's certainly in the top two.

If you want a small revolver in .38 caliber - S&W Model 36 Chief's Special. Far better revolver and it holds two more rounds.

Now if they would only make the frame curved with a pocket clip, and clear Lexan side plate there would be no question!

A curved Webly Fosbery automatic revolver with a flat sided, 3 round cylinder and clear side plate, and pocket clip chambered in 7.62X25 Tokarev using moon clips!
Now for a name. I think Rube somebody comes to mind.

Imagine how thin you could make a revolver if cartridges were not round? Rectangular shaped ammo could make the gun not much thicker than a credit card. Now how to impart rifling on something like that would require some sort of high-tech engineering that is a bit over my head.

I could grind some chambers off a NAA revolver and be narrower than that.

I'm surprised they didn't make it a 4 shot. That should have made little difference on the width.

Accually this will not be the 1st 3 round revolver. I have a Leinad (Daniel backwads.)Pocket Pal. Has a changeable 3 shot .380 & 5 shot 22LR cylinder. Kinda like a Mossberg Brownie derringer meets a revolver..Too hard to explain. Was under 300 if I recall. Here is a U tube that sums it up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jW_rwKjIMjA
Little more...http://www.guns.com/2013/11/01/mossb...et-protection/

my S&W M337 is .3 inches wider 4 ounces LIGHTER and has 60% more rounds. Explain the purpose of this to me again.

If the purpose is BUG, wouldn't it make more sense in 9mm?

Marketing to the "new" gun buyer. Most of who haven't got a clue what makes a good SD handgun. They just want the newest, most "modern" design so they can be cutting edge.
Newest XBOX, newest iPhone, latest fashion trend, and now, dumb guns!

Many firearms are just designed to be interesting and little else.
And that is a valid reason for their existence.

Like my NAA Sidewinder. Wish I had got a NAA Ranger. When I get my CAI 38-3 I will post pictures.

Looks like I'm not going to add this revolver to my unusual guns collection...got a reply from CAI Facebook page last week. No in 2015

"Not at this time, we refocused engineering time on our AK lineup of the C39V2 and RAS47."

.And yet, no manufacturer has the foresight to develop a tiny .32 acp revolver!
I suspect they have the foresight to NOT build something so pointless
