Jewell Trigger in Winchester Model 70

Have any of you installed a Jewell trigger in a Model 70 Winchester? I have a Jewell in one of my AR15 rifles and was contemplating one of their triggers for a new Winchester Model 70 I got a screaming deal on.

The Midway website says the Jewell may require minor fitting. Any idea what might need to be fitted? This is for one of the Winchester Model 70 Coyote models with the push feed action in .243.

Thanks for any feedback you may have.

The Winchester trigger is one of the best designed triggers out there... Why not get a trigger job for $50 from a skilled smith?

How about the Winchester Trigger Job videos I keep seeing advertised?

The Jewell will have to be fitted to the sear and it all has to work in conjuction with the safety... probably not a drop in proposition...

Tell me, how is the fit and finish on the Coyote? How's the milling on the bolt sleeve? Do the sides of the firing pin rub against the bolt sleeve excessively? Does the bolt sleeve touch the receiver above the race way or does it have big gaps on either side like mine? Does the safety go "clack" and spook game for 1.3 miles in every direction? I also have bolt jump which continues to annoy me... I love my Winchester, it just needs a little work...

i put a Jewell trigger in my Winchester model 70 varment rifle recently. I had to machine out the trigger guard for the trigger housing to clear, but other than that it went in woth no problems. works just great too, got it down to about 8 oz let off.
